Eliminate your credit card debt as soon as possible.

The goal is to never carry a balance on your credit cards.  If you use credit cards for convenience, make sure you pay off your entire balance every month.  If you can't pay off your balances, then you are spending too much money.  Stop borrowing money at 10% - 20% interest!
